Hurricanes are strong storms that cause damage and property threatening hazards such as flooding, storm surge, high winds and tornadoes. You must take steps to reduce the risk of serious disruption, injury or loss of life by making preparations. The Aston will do its part in preparing the building and property for the storm, but you must take precautions and prepare as well.  Planning ahead can save time and lives in many types of emergencies. Even if you have taken some steps in the past to prepare, it is important that you revisit and update your communication personal plan and check your emergency preparedness kit for expired items. 

This information has been prepared as an aid in assisting you to safely navigate through a hurricane if one is predicted for our area.  We have tried to include all the necessary information that may impact a general cross-section of our community, but your needs will certainly vary and be more specific than what we have provided.  We encourage you to use this as a base upon which to develop your own plan.
